Dr. Chad WattsDr. Watts graduated dental school from Oregon Health and Sciences University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He then served three years in the USAF as a general dentist at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska before being only one of two dentists in the USAF accepted to the prestigious Tri-Services Orthodontic residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center. After his residency, Dr. Watts was the Chief of Orthodontics at Misawa AB, Japan serving the needs of our active duty members and their families stationed overseas. He is a board certified orthodontist, which means he has attained the expertise to correct irregularities of the bite and facial structures in the mouth and jaws as determined by his peers and members of the American Board of Orthodontics. He also maintains membership in a number of organizations including the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and the Colorado Dental Association. He is also a member of several Study Clubs for the advancement of clinical orthodontics.
Dr. Dayle HartgerinkDr. Hartgerink was born and raised in the “zoo”, Kalamazoo, Michigan. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western Michigan University with a B.S. in Biology and in 1980 received her dental degree from the University of Michigan. She entered the U.S. Air Force upon graduation and completed a General Practice Residency in 1981, with assignments in Ohio, Arizona, Michigan, Guam, Washington D.C., the United Kingdom, Mississippi, Japan, and Colorado. During her military service she returned to the University of Michigan for a postgraduate degree in Orthodontics, receiving this in 1986. She retired from the Air Force after almost 23 years while assigned to the Air Force Academy. While stationed at Keesler AFB she was honored as the Keesler Air Force Base “Woman of the Year” for the officer category. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (“Board Certified” specialist in orthodontics) and a member of the College of Diplomates, American Board of Orthodontics. During her assignment in Arizona she realized she loved the country and was determined to make the west her permanent home following her Air Force career. Her hobbies include mountain biking and hiking on the wonderful trails in the area with her dog Chypper (they are “Chip and Dale”!!!) and her husband Larry. As she has been all over the world during her military career, she thoroughly enjoys traveling to new places and experiencing different cultures.
